The Arnold Schoenberg Chor from Vienna is one of the world’s most prominent vocal ensembles, setting the benchmark for the performance of eighteenth and nineteenth-century Viennese music. They have performed with many leading conductors, such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti and Lorin Maazel. For over twenty years, the Arnold Schoenberg Chor was conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt’s favourite choir, with whom he made many internationally acclaimed recordings. In 2017, Le Concert Olympique and the Arnold Schoenberg Chor agreed to collaborate on a complete performance of all of Beethoven's choral works.
